Different workflow tasks

Manual tasks

✔️ Task: a simple tracking task with statuses To Do, Completed, or Rejected

🔲 Form: task for collecting information (text, single or multiple choice, etc.)

📑 Action plan: Task allowing the owner to assign collaborators specific sub-tasks within each workflow

✒️Signature: task for signing the draft revision of a document linked to the workflow

Automated tasks

Validation: automatic change of revision status from draft to validated, change of previous revision to obsolete

📨 Distribution: automatic notification to one or more user list, as defined in Administration

Workflow structure

🔀 Decision: based on information entered in a form, set conditions to guide processes

⏸️ Parallel block: tasks can be parallelized on the same condition.

Create a workflow from a template in a document's detail pane

To create a workflow directly associated with the revision of a document or a part:

  1. Go to the Detail tab of the document or part

  2. Open the Workflow section of the object

  3. Click New workflow and select a model

  4. Click on any task to edit it – you can change the assignee(s) and due date of each task

  5. Once all prerequisites are met, the workflow’s creation task becomes active

Create a workflow from a model on the home page

Workflows can be created from the home page. In the case of a template with a Document or Part object, it must be associated with the corresponding Object in Aletiq.
