Build a Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOM)

  • In Aletiq, a Manufacturing process consists of the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOM) and Bill of operations.

  • Aletiq supports the management of multiple manufacturing processes in parallel for a single product (e.g., main process, backup process, subcontracted process). Changes are tracked via the manufacturing index.

  • mBOM components can be consumed within the operations of a manufacturing bill of operations.

  • mBOM components can also be synchronized with the ERP system through an integration interface.

Manage Manufacturing Processes

To be created, a Manufacturing Bill of Materials must be linked to an existing Manufacturing Process.

Define a Manufacturing Bill of Materials

To create a Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOM):

  1. Go to the Manufacturing BOM section in the Manufacturing tab

  2. Click on Specify the Manufacturing BOM

  3. Copy existing components from the definition BOM

  4. Modify the structure of sub-assemblies and components within the mBOM:

    1. Create a new article

    2. Link an existing article

    3. Hide components within sub-assemblies

    4. Adjust quantities in the mBOM
