What is a product definition property?
Product definition properties are properties that are specific to a definition index.
In practice:
💠 They are specific to a given product definition.
💠 They are frozen at the moment the definition is validated.
💠 They can differ from one definition to another for the same root product.
This makes it possible to clearly distinguish:
💠 What is global to the product (common to all definitions),
💠 From what is strictly linked to a specific design version.
Who can create product definition properties?
Creating product definition properties is restricted to users with the ADMINISTRATOR role in Aletiq.
Other users can, of course, view and fill in these properties according to their permissions, but they cannot create new ones.
Editing definition properties
Definition-linked properties are:
💠 Accessible from the product homepage, displaying the properties of the last validated definition.
💠 Easy to view and edit as long as the definition has not been validated.
