💡 "Ask Aletiq" is part of the AI features. If the assistant doesn't appear in your application, it means they haven't been activated on your environment yet (see the article Get started with Aletiq AI).
What is the assistant for?
"Ask Aletiq" is your everyday AI assistant, available anywhere in the application. Ask it any question and it will answer:
🔍 Find a specific piece of information buried in an 80-page document
📦 List the products that use a given part (where-used)
🔄 Compare two revisions to identify what has changed
✅ Review a product definition or a manufacturing process and spot inconsistencies before validation
📊 Analyze your workflows to identify bottlenecks
📄 Summarize a document or explain a technical topic to you
The more you use it, the more time you save.
How to use it
The assistant takes the form of a chat, which you open via the « Ask Aletiq » button at the bottom left of the application. You can then ask your question in natural language.
A few tips for using it well:
🕑 Your conversation history is accessible via the small button to the left of the chat: you can find your previous exchanges there.
➕ The + button in the chat lets you add a document to the conversation context, so the assistant can read it.
🔗 Clicking the sources cited in an answer opens the relevant objects directly (documents, parts, products…), so you can verify the content yourself.
🔒 The assistant relies only on the content available in Aletiq to answer. It does not have access to the Internet and will not look for any source outside your company's documentation.
What the assistant can do
Today, the assistant can:
Search across the entire application, including within document content
Show eBOMs and where-used cases
Summarize the activity history of an object
Review a definition or a manufacturing process
Summarize a document
Explain a technical topic
Compare revisions to identify changes
Analyze workflows and tasks to identify bottlenecks
Cite its sources
What it can't do yet (but is coming soon)
We're continuously improving the assistant. Soon, it will be able to:
Notify you when it has finished answering
Extract images from documents and display them in the chat to illustrate its answers
Explain how to use Aletiq
Generate files (CSV, Word…)
Retrieve context (the page you're on)
Search in data sources other than Aletiq (emails, SharePoint…)
💡 While waiting for automatic context retrieval, you can simply copy-paste the URL of the page you're on into the chat to guide the assistant.
Some questions to ask it
Here are some example questions to copy-paste into the assistant to get started:
What are my tasks to do? What has been open for a long time and that I should prioritize?
List the documents created or modified last week. Do I have anything to do on these documents?
Find me the where-used cases of [Paste the item ID]
