Structure of the Aletiq user interface and main features

The Home Page gives you access to the application's main objects (Articles, Tooling, Workflows, Documents and Parts), to carry out a quick search or to access the workflow tasks that have been assigned to you.

It also allows you to create objects or launch workflows in just a few clicks.

You can return to the Aletiq home page at any time by clicking on the Aletiq logo in the top left-hand corner.

1 - Files

💡 Aletiq offers a Document Management space, allowing you to manage numerous files in their native format (e.g. Word, Excel, Publisher, images, video). The PDM module can manage CAD files.

In Aletiq, a file is contextualised by links to different objects in the application. A change in documentation? The PLM facilitates your impact analysis thanks to links with articles, tooling and other documents.

The Files button provides access to the document management area and the PDM:

  • Documents, to visualize or modify a document:

  • Parts (CAD) to viusalize or modify CAD files:

  • Standard parts to modify standard parts such as screws, bolts, nuts, etc.)

Focus on the Details Pane

Some of the application's objects - Documents, Passports, Parts - have a Detail Pane that gives direct access to information specific to that object: properties, list of actions taken, workflow(s), product(s) and associated document(s).

To access the Detail Pane, move your mouse over an object and click Open.

2 - Workflows

💡 A workflow is a series of tasks designed to facilitate the monitoring and completion of a process (e.g. validation of a document evolution) in a simple, rapid and digitized way. Aletiq enables documents to be signed electronically.

The Workflows section lets you create, monitor, manage and control the business processes within your organisation. It's easy to see what processes are ongoing, and to follow up with a colleague if necessary.

The Workflows button provides access to:

  • All the workflows in progress

  • Workflow models management, to facilitate the creation of workflows for standardized processes (e.g. change requests)

  • Workflow Analysis Module

3 - Products

3.1 - Articles

💡 An article is a product reference, SKU, finished product, semi-finished product or component. In Aletiq, an article is linked to various objects (documents, parts, workflows, manufacturing processes, passports, etc.) which contextualises the information and make it easier to manage.

The Articles section allows you to create and manage your article references, the associated technical data and track Passports (production orders).

The Articles button gives you access to:

  • the article database

  • all the associated passports (or production orders)

  • create a new article

An Article File provides access to information about the object:

  • Definition and Manufacturing process

  • Properties

  • Associated objects (documents, CAD, etc)

  • Passports (or production orders)

3.2 - Tooling

💡 A Tooling is a means of production. In Aletiq, it is possible to manage the technical data for a tool designed in-house. It is linked to various objects (documents, parts, workflows, manufacturing processes, passports, etc.) which contextualise the information and make it easier to manage.

The Tooling section lets you create and manage your tooling or production resources, the associated technical data and track passports (production orders).

The Tooling button gives you access to:

  • the database of Tooling on your site

  • all the associated passports

  • create a new tool

The structure of the Tooling File is similar to that of the Article File.

4 - Projects

A Project is a set of tasks with a defined start and end, which may involve one or several Products.

At the beginning of the project, Deliverables are defined and produced throughout the project. These deliverables may include:

  • Documents

  • Parts

By clicking Projects, you can access :

  • All ongoing projects

  • Project models management, to facilitate the creation of projects for standardized processes

5 - Quick search

Quick Search allows you to search for information across the entire database: Aletiq returns results for all objects - products, passports, documents, parts, workflows, etc.

Searching for information couldn't be easier: enter the information in the search bar and press Enter.

The advantages of Aletiq rapid search :

  • search across all objects in the application

  • no need to enter special characters: a space is all you need to find the right information

6 - Aletiq Administration

The Administration page allows all users to manage their email notifications and language.

The rest of the actions are reserved for users with an administrator role, i.e. creating and managing :

  • Users

  • Sites

  • Access rules

  • Views

  • Object properties

  • Watermarks

  • Automatic numbering rules

7 - Access to help & contact

Use Aletiq Help to :

  • Contact Customer Service at: [email protected]

  • Consult the knowledge base (here you are)

  • Check out the latest developments and new features available

8 - Notifications

When you have been identified on a workflow task or in a comment :

  • A notification is sent to you by email

  • The same notifications are available in Aletiq. Click on the bell and then on the document or workflow link
