Structure of the Aletiq user interface and main features

The Home Page gives you access to the application's main objects (Articles, Tooling, Workflows, Document Management and PDM), to carry out a quick search or to access the workflow tasks that have been assigned to you.

You can return to the Aletiq home page at any time by clicking on the Aletiq logo in the top left-hand corner.

Part No. 1 : Products

1- Articles

An article is a product reference, SKU, finished product, semi-finished product or component. In Aletiq, an item is linked to various objects (documents, parts, workflows, ranges, passports, etc.) which contextualise the information and make it easier to manage.

The Articles section allows you to create and manage your article references, the associated technical data and track passports (production orders).

The Articles button gives you access to:

  • the database of items on your site

  • all the associated passports (or production orders)

  • create a new item

An Article File provides access to information about the object:

  • Definition and Manufacturing Range

  • Properties

  • Associated objects (documents, CAD, etc)

  • Passports (or production orders)

2- Tooling

Tooling is a means of production. In Aletiq, it is possible to manage the technical data for a tool designed in-house. It is linked to various objects (documents, parts, workflows, ranges, passports, etc.) which contextualise the information and make it easier to manage.

The Tooling section lets you create and manage your tooling or production resources, the associated technical data and track passports (production orders).

The Tooling button gives you access to:

  • the database of Tooling on your site

  • all the associated passports

  • create a new tool

The structure of the Tooling File is similar to that of the Article File.

Part No. 2 : Workflows

A workflow is a series of tasks designed to facilitate the monitoring and completion of a process (e.g. validation of a document development) in a simple, rapid and digitised way. Aletiq enables documents to be signed electronically.

The Workflows section lets you create, monitor, manage and control the business processes underway within your organisation. It's easy to see what processes are underway, and to follow up with a colleague if necessary.

The Workflows button provides access to:

  • All the workflows in progress

  • Workflow template management, to facilitate the creation of workflows for standardised processes (e.g. change requests)

  • Archived workflows

  • Workflow Analysis Module

Part No. 3 : Files

Aletiq offers a Document Management space, allowing you to manage numerous files in their native format (e.g. Word, Excel, Publisher, images, video). The PDM module can manage SolidWorks and Catia CAD files.

In Aletiq, a file is contextualised by links to different objects in the application. A change in documentation? The PLM facilitates your impact analyses thanks to links with items, tooling and other documents.

The Files button provides access to the document management area and the PDM:

  • Documents , to view or modify a document:

  • Parts (CAD) to view or modify CAD files:

  • Standard parts for modifying standard parts

Focus on the Details Pane

Some of the application's objects - Documents, Passports, Coins - have a Detail Pane that gives direct access to information specific to that object: associated properties, list of actions taken, workflow(s), product(s) and associated document(s).

To access the Detail Pane, move your mouse over an object and click Open.

Part No. 5 : Quick search

Quick Search allows you to search for information across the entire database: Aletiq returns results for all objects - products, passports, documents, CAD, workflows, etc.

Searching for information couldn't be easier: enter the information in the search bar and press Enter.

The advantages of Aletiq rapid search :

  • search across all objects in the application

  • no need to enter special characters: a space is all you need to find the right information

Part No. 6 : Aletiq Administrative services

The Administration page allows all users to manage their email notifications.

The rest of the actions are reserved for users with a manager or administrator role:

  • Creating and managing users

  • Creating and managing sites

  • Creating and managing object access rules

  • Creating and managing views

  • Creating and managing object properties

  • Creating and managing watermarks

Part No. 7 : Access to help & contact

Use Aletiq Help to :

  • Contact Customer Service at: [email protected]

  • Consult the knowledge base (here you are)

  • Check out the latest developments and new features available

Part No. 8 : Notifications

When you have been identified on a workflow task or in a comment :

  • A notification is sent to you by email

  • The same notifications are available in Aletiq. Click on the bell and then on the document or workflow link
