Before you start:

  • The Aletiq PDM allows you to manage and contextualize your CAD files (SolidWorks and Catia)

  • The Aletiq Plug-in for SolidWorks and Catia will allow you to create and manage your parts simply from your design software.

  • Aletiq automatically recognizes a CAD nomenclature: you can then reconstitute them in Aletiq

  • Users with a manager or administrator role can use the PDM.

  • All users can preview parts, if they have the access rights

Update a part

In the Parts or Standard parts area (accessible from the top menu):

or, directly from the Parts area of an item:

  1. Open the detail pane of a part

  2. Click Load a file on the Revisions tab

  3. Select the part to be loaded in Aletiq for update by clicking on Choose

  4. [Mandatory] Indicate the new Revision

  5. Confirm part update

Update a part or assembly

Update multiple parts or a folder with a drag and drop

To be recognized during the update, parts loaded with a drag and drop must be named in the same way as the pre-existing CAD files in Aletiq.

In the Parts or Standard Parts area (accessible from the top menu) or directly from the Parts area of an item:

  1. Select the parts to be updated on your computer and then move them to the Parts space

  2. Select the action to perform

  3. Specify the updated parts revision

  4. Click Confirm to update parts

Good to know

  • To apply a value to all parts at once, click the pen and select the value

  • In the Upload files window, the Action to Perform property allows you to:

    • Create: the revision of the part is created in the Draft state and is editable

    • Create & Validate: the part revision is Validated and is no longer editable

    • Update: an eponymous file is recognized and a new revision will be created

    • Update & Validate: an eponymous file is recognized, a new revision will be created and validated

    • Ignore: revision is not loaded in Aletiq

  • Aletiq allows to create product references based on the CAD loaded
