When you have been identified on a workflow task or in a comment :

  • A notification is sent to you by email.

  • This same notification can be accessed in your Aletiq space. Click on the🔔bell and then on the document or workflow link to access it in one click.

💡 You can deactivate or reactivate Aletiq's email notifications at any time. By default, these are activated.

However, this dual option for receiving notifications has the merit of guaranteeing :

  • Increased visibility: Not all users log on to Aletiq every day. Email notifications ensure that users receive information even if they are not connected to Aletiq.

  • An action outside Aletiq: Sometimes, an e-mail notification can encourage a user to return to Aletiq, especially if they haven't used it for some time.

  • A degree of redundancy: in the event of a malfunction in one of the channels (Internet failure, Aletiq website undergoing maintenance, etc.), the other channel can be used as a back-up to ensure that the user receives the information. What's more, emails can be viewed on any computer, including smartphones and tablets.

  • A freedom of customization: Some users may prefer to receive notifications by email as well, while others may prefer to view them only in Aletiq. Offering these two options provides a more personalised user experience.

However, if you want to activate/deactivate Aletiq's email notifications, it's as simple as 3 clicks:

  1. Go to Aletiq Settings

  2. Click on "Notifications".

  3. Check/uncheck the "Email notifications" option.

To sum up, while the redundancy of notifications through Aletiq's web site and email may seem superfluous at first glance, it offers flexibility and reassurance that users are receiving important information in a way that suits their preferences and work habits.
