What should I do if I can't view my document?

⚠️ Some files cannot be automatically converted to PDF by Aletiq, due to their content (macros, file size, embedded images, etc.). The interface will then show that the preview is unavailable.

How does document preview work in Aletiq?

Aletiq automatically converts your Office files to PDF and adds a watermark with the revision index, its status and digital signatures.

If the automatic conversion fails, two solutions are available to you.

Solution 1 — Reload the source file

This option restarts Aletiq's automatic conversion tool.

  1. 🔒 Lock the document

  2. Download the latest version of the source file to your computer

  3. Click Upload source file and re-import the file

  4. Click Upload to start the upload

  5. 🔓 Unlock the document

  6. Refresh the page — the preview becomes available again ✅

🎯 Aletiq will then open the converted PDF version with the watermark Aletiq info: Rev. A (Draft) at the bottom of the page.

Solution 2 — Manually upload a PDF for preview

If the automatic conversion does not give the desired result, you can upload your own PDF directly.

  1. 🔒 Lock the document

  2. Download the source file to your computer

  3. Edit it if needed, then convert it to PDF

  4. Upload the PDF file for preview to the corresponding revision in Aletiq

  5. Wait a few seconds for Aletiq to add the watermark automatically

  6. 🔓 Unlock the document

  7. View your document in Aletiq ✅

💡 Manual upload only bypasses the conversion step. The watermark with signatures will still be added automatically afterwards.

⚠️ These actions can only be performed when the revision is in draft status. The document opens in a new tab for a more comfortable reading experience.
