Manage a site

Find out how you can group users and data under a site

Written by Valentin Coquant

ℹ️ Sites allow you to structure your organisation in Aletiq by grouping users and the data they manage. By default, objects created on a site (documents, parts, products...) are only visible to users on that site.

🏭 What is a site for?

A site represents an organisational entity in Aletiq — a factory, a business unit, a department, a country... It is the base level of data segmentation.

In practice:

  • Users on a site only see objects shared with their site

  • An object can be shared with multiple sites if needed

  • The Analytics dashboard can be filtered by site to track each entity's own metrics

Create or modify a site

👤 Only users with an Admin licence can create or modify sites.

  1. Go to Administration

  2. Click on the Sites tab

  3. Click + New site to create one, or click an existing site to modify it

  4. Enter the site name

  5. Add the users assigned to this site

  6. Confirm

Assign users to a site

A user can be linked to a site in two ways:

  • From the Sites tab — by editing the site and adding users directly

  • From the Users tab — by editing a user's profile and assigning them to one or more sites

💡 A user can be assigned to multiple sites simultaneously — useful for cross-functional profiles (quality managers, IT, management...).

Sharing objects between sites

By default, an object created on a site is private to that site. To make it visible to other sites or to the whole organisation, the user can adjust its sharing scope at creation or from the object's detail panel.

📊 Analytics tracking by site

The Analytics dashboard allows you to filter all charts by industrial site. Each site can track its own metrics independently of the others.

What you can track:

  • Documents created, versioned and approved, with period trends

  • Products and manufacturing orders in progress

  • Workflow breakdown (ECR, ECO, ECN, NPD) at a glance

  • Project completion rates by team

  • Per-user usage stats: session count, duration, time spent on the platform per month

Available filters:

  • Customisable date range to target a specific period

  • Filter by site to isolate data for a specific industrial site

💡 The dashboard is accessible directly from the app header by clicking the 📈 icon.
