View the eBOM

To access the eBOM, go to the Definition page of the article, then open the Product BOM tab.

You can display the Bill of Materials in one of the following formats using the Display button:

  • Structured list view

  • Flat list view

  • Graph view

You can also create custom views of the eBOM to save business-specific filters or formats (see the article on view management). Each view allows you to configure:

  • The display mode

  • The columns shown

  • The filters applied

Native columns in the eBOM include:

  • ID–Name: article ID and label

  • Quantity

  • Comment: allows contextual notes (e.g., the position of a component on a PCB)

  • Status: indicates whether the object is new or modified compared to the previous definition revision

You can also display custom properties of the articles in the eBOM, including definition-linked properties.

Edit the eBOM

To edit the eBOM, the article’s definition revision must be in Draft status. Then open the eBOM edit window.

The BOM edit window allows modifications either directly in the table cells,

or by selecting rows to apply batch updates.

Editable elements in the eBOM include:

  • Add an existing article or create a new one

  • Edit article properties (quantity, comment, configurable properties...)

  • Remove an article from the BOM

You can also compare the eBOM with the Part BOM to help populate or reconcile the structure.

Special Case: Configurable Articles

You can personalize the eBOM of each variant of a configurable article using the following features:

  • Hide a component from the eBOM in selected variants

  • Choose which component variant to use in the eBOM, if the component itself is configurable
