Duplicating an existing document

Duplicating a document allows to quickly create a copy from the details of a document already managed within Aletiq :

  • The created copy has the same properties as the original document

  • The created copy generates links toward the same products and documents

  • The created copy takes for file the latest revision of the file of the original document (whatever the status is), as a draft and without signatures

  1. Click on the Files menu and then on Documents in the list

  2. Open the document that needs to be duplicated

  3. Click on the options menu ('...') at the top right corner of the detailed view and then click on Duplicate

    💡 The duplicated document is identified by the mention "Copy of..." in its Identifier and name.

  4. The copy has been created and is ready to be renamed and modified if necessary
