🤷♂️ What is a Project?
A project is a collection of tasks, milestones, and deliverables, scheduled over time.
More complete than workflows, Aletiq projects are designed to support long and complex business processes, especially those that:
Generate a large number of deliverables
Involve complex task dependencies
Require temporal visualization
💡 Examples of business processes suited for Aletiq projects:
New product development
Responding to a request for proposal (RFP)
Designing a new tooling series
...
At the start of a project, deliverables are defined and will be produced throughout the project. Deliverables can be:
Documents
Parts (CAD files)
You can access all your projects by clicking the Projects button in Aletiq’s blue navigation ribbon:
Who Does What?
Only a user with an Administrator account can create and modify project templates
Administrators, Managers, and Viewers can be assigned as owners of tasks or milestones
The Administrator can complete tasks or approve milestones on behalf of others (e.g., during absences)
A Viewer can only take action on tasks for which they are explicitly assigned.
They cannot add deliverables to tasks or milestones.
The Projects Homepage
The Projects homepage lists all active and completed projects in Aletiq.
Using the Filters, you can create custom views — for example:
Projects you're responsible for
Completed projects only

Project Page
The Project Page gathers all key project information:

Tasks Tab
The Tasks tab provides a Gantt chart view of all project tasks and milestones, including their dependencies.
Linked Objects
The Documents, Parts, and Products tabs let you view or attach related Aletiq objects to the project.
